Colin Spender

Colin Spender has over 22 years’ experience of working and training with dogs.

He is a Master Dog Trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers and a tutor for the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training, specialising in Dog law and Legislation.

Recognised as a full member of the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association and a member of The British institute of Professional Dog Trainers, Colin also holds a BA Hons Degree (professional practice) Dog Behaviour, Training and Psychology.

He also has an accredited Higher Diploma in Police Dog Instruction (H.Dip PDI,) and is a qualified teacher / trainer having obtained his Advanced Certificate in Education (Adv Cert Ed) Higher Education (HE) Canterbury Christchurch University.

Colin is an Expert witness for dangerous dog legislation, and breed specific dogs, within his remit as a Dog Legislation Officer (DLO) accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO).

Colin brings a legal aspect to the DogSEE courses and has many years of experience working with ‘Status and Weapon Dogs’ and so makes him more than qualified to be one our tutors on our Responsible Dog Ownership Programmes.
